What should you check before adding an outdoor shower?

Outdoor shower additions are deceptively simple. You need hot and cold water lines, a backflow preventer, a drain or pervious surface, and a floor sloped toward the drain. Why do material and color submittals matter?

I'm the person who rejects samples that are close enough. For coated and printed finishes where color is brand-critical, we reference Pantone Matching System. The industry tolerance is Delta E below 2 for brand-critical colors; 2-4 is noticeable to trained observers, and anything above 4 is visible to everyone. This isn't just about pretty corners. The same discipline applies to resolution. A 3,000 x 2,000-pixel image can look sharp on screen, but maximum print size is pixel dimensions divided by DPI. For commercial print, we use 300 DPI at final size. We do not approve from the it looked fine on my phone level. Should you hire Gensler for a small renovation?
